John Basilone; Marine who received the Medal of Honor for his actions during WWII in Guadalcanal. He held off 3,000 Japanese soldiers after his 15-member unit was reduced to two other men. After being given the chance to retire from the Marine Corp, he decided to go back to action in Iwo Jima where he was killed. A true role model for the American people.
